Welcome to Our World

In an instant, everything changed.

With a final push, you came into this world full of life, happy and healthy, nearly a week ago. Barely out of the womb, you were placed on your mother’s chest, and within seconds, your blue eyes opened, you met the world, and we were both immediately in love with you.

To us, every part of you was perfect. In a flash, the next generation of the human experience continued. Just as all of our line had done before, so passed we into the realm of parenthood.

Until this moment, I’ve never felt such devotion or willingness to sacrifice as I’ve felt for you. On the day you were born at 3:25 am, we didn’t sleep until late that night, running on adrenaline, focused entirely on caring for your every need.

Today, everything seems brighter as we approach one week of you with us in this world. If I lost everything but still had you, I’d still feel like a wealthy man. It’s fascinating to think how the event of your birth could change so much for the better as priorities are resorted to focusing on our little family first.

Now that you are home, seeing you grow, getting to know you, and learning your habits and nuances can only be described as pure joy. Even more, it warms my heart to see that there is such a close…
