Thanks for the comment, Paul Brouse. Everyone’s situation is a bit different but I think in this environment, that it is much easier to find another corporate job than another freelance client. I have no doubt that someone could build a successful freelance career over time, but if you balance that while working full-time, you give yourself that extra edge.

For example, I like writing and publishing; no one will pay me my salary to do that. I have years to build my portfolio. One day, I can be a consultant, but all my options and skillset let me determine my path.
