Society frequently sees men at the top of the world and industries, leading new ventures and becoming the faces of innovation and prosperity.
Perhaps unfairly, some say. There seems to be a non-stop public hand-wringing over the imbalance between the sexes and who is on top.
“Why aren’t women 50/50? Women should be 50/50 on everything- company leadership, boards, startup founders, wealthy investors”… the list goes on.
Often, I feel, the common consensus is that we, men, have some unseen advantage that must be torn down and equalized. However, here is what the real story the stats tell:
- 60.6% of homeless are men
- 63% of men are not in relationships
- 60% of managers are men, corresponding to the fact that 59% of male employees aspire to become CEOs versus 40% of women.
