The Finale
The Series:
The TimeShare Series will be broken into six parts (one for each principle of persuasion). I'm hoping to publish one a day this week until completed.
Part 1 is here: You Should Go to a Time Share Presentation (Part 1 of 6)
Part 2: You Should Go to a Time Share Presentation (Part 2 of 6)
Part 3: You Should Go to a Time Share Presentation (Part 3 of 6)
Part 4: You Should Go to a Time Share Presentation (Part 4 of 6)
Part 5: You Should Go to a Time Share Presentation (Part 5 of 6)
Consistency
“Once we have made a choice or taken a stand, we will encounter personal and interpersonal pressures to behave consistently with that commitment. Those pressures will cause us to respond in ways that justify our earlier decision.”
-Robert Cialdini
The Sixth and final Principle of Persuasion is Consistency.
Generally, once people choose or head down a certain path, we feel compelled to keep going and behave consistently with our earlier commitment and justify our past decisions.
